The Hispanic National Bar Association (HNBA) celebrates the nomination of Jacqueline Romero for U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and applauds President Joe Biden and Senators Bob Casey and Pat Toomey for their bi-partisan efforts in making the recommendation.

Led by the HNBA, a group of legal leaders, bar associations, and community based organizations in Philadelphia and the Delaware River Valley signed a joint community letter to show solidarity in their support of Ms. Romero for U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Ms. Romero is a diverse leader with experience, integrity, character, and acute legal acumen. These qualities make her well-suited to serve, particularly in a district in need of leadership.

The President of the Hispanic National Bar Association, Carlos M. Bollar, stated, “We are all excited about the nomination of Jacqueline Romero for U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania not just because she would be the first woman of color to hold the office, but because of the quality and content of her person and character.” President Bollar continued, “The HNBA and several significant local community stakeholders resoundingly agree on the need to move forward as quickly as possible to a Senate Judiciary Committee confirmation vote.”
